PRIZES & RESULTS FOR 2013 |
The Hollis Brookline Rotary Club will be hosting an Awards Ceremony at Alpine Grove at 8:00pm on Thursday, June 13th, 2013. The Hollis Fast 5K race results will be posted but will remain unofficial on race night and will be mailed after the race. Distinctive handmade Apple Trophies will go to 1st place finishers and 2nd and 3rd place finishers will receive a beautiful medal. Snacks and refreshments will be served during the ceremony. |
RACE FOR FREE NEXT YEAR |
We offer a free entry the next year for beating either the state record or the course record, if it is already lower than the state record. During our five year history, ten women and nineteen men have beat the official state record for their age (see the course records by age and the state records). This is proof that you can run your fastest 5K time on this USATF certified race course.

WAIVED ENTRIES TO ALL RUNNERS WHO BEAT THE STATE RECORD |
This is a one- time offer. If your name is listed with an asterisk (in the Faster than state record column), indicating that you are a course record holder and you beat the current state record, print out a paper entry and send it to us with the words "Waived Entry - Record Holder" at the top of the entry and we will waive your 2013 entry fee. In the future, you will need to earn your waived entry by beating the course and state records for your age.
Our course records do not count as an official state record because the course drops 224 feet in elevation, which exceeds the USATF rule that a race course must not drop more than one meter per kilometer. You can, however, stand tall, puff out your chest and say that you ran a 5K in XX:XX time, and footnote your statement by stating that time is faster than the New Hampshire State Record, but it doesn't count because it is a downhill course.
